BOYS BASKETBALL: St. Mary’s staves off Clarkston

ORCHARD LAKE Tied with Clarkston at 45-45 midway through the fourth quarter, Orchard Lake St., Mary’s handed the Wolves their first loss of the season with a 59-51 boys basketball victory at Dombrowski Field House.

St. Mary’s outscored Clarkston 14-6 over the final three-plus minutes to earn the non-conference win.

St. Mary’s led 23-21 and trailed 40-37 entering the fourth quarter where the Eaglets outscored the Wolves 22-14 overall.

Teddy McGree scored 25 points, Jalen Watts-Jackson added 11 points and Jason Boswell chipped in with 10 points for the Eaglets (4-1), who have won four straight.
