GIRLS BASKETBALL: Lake Orion grounds Falcons

LAKE ORION With a countless injuries the past two seasons, wins became  hard to come by for Lake Orion’s girls basketball program, especially last season when the Dragons won only four times.

Lake Orion has already matched that win total.

The Dragons (4-3) overcame an 11-4 deficit at the4 end of the first quarter and eventually captured a 49-40 victory over Farmington in OAA White Division play.

Lake Orion traded off 13 points with Farmington in the second quarter to settle for a 24-17 deficit at the half, but used a 13-6 run in the third quarter and a 19-10 fourth quarter to pull ahead of the Falcons (2-6).NOSs.HoopsIcon-3

Taylor Surmeyer scored 11 and Maria Peurach added 10 points for Farmington.
