| January 4, 2014 | Comments (0)

OXFORD Behind a 12-4 run in the third quarter and some stingy defense, Oxford found enough wiggle room to down Rochester, 42-37, Friday in an OAA White Division girls basketball contest.

The Wildcats, who lead 13-10 after the first quarter, trailed 21-20 at the break after Rochester went on an 11-7 surge in the second quarter.

Oxford closed with a 13-9 run in the fourth quarter for the final nail in the Falcons’ coffin. The Wildcats overcame the loss of three starters that fouled out in the second half.

Skye Donaldson and Jessica Murphy both scored 12 to lead Oxford (7-1, 5-1). Christian Medici (10 rebounds) and Sam Medici both added six points apiece for the Wildcats.

Alexa Haupt scored 11 and Ivy Schultz chipped in with 10 points for Rochester (4-3).NOSs.HoopsIcon-1
