GIRLS BASKETBALL: Rochester Hills Christian blasts defending state champion Troy Bethany

TROY — Rochester Hills Christian made a statement sent around the Michigan Association of Christian Schools Friday night.

The undefeated Eagles rolled over visiting Troy Bethany Christian, 59-22, in a key FBAC Red Division girls basketball contest. Bethany Christian is the defending MACS Division I state champion.

Junior Ashley Parker led the Eagles (8-0, 2-0) with a quadruple-double, scoring 22 points with 15 rebounds, 11 steals and 10 blocks shots. Junior Jenna Porter added  20 points and six steals, while senior Kindra Armitage rounded out the night with nine points for Rochester Hills Christian.

Senior Sarah Bishop had 9 points in the loss for Bethany Christian (6-3, 2-1).

BOYS BASKETBALL

ROCHESTER HILLS CHRISTIAN 46, TROY BETHANY CHRISTIAN 36: Rochester Hills Christian remained alone atop the FBAC Red Division standings Friday night with this 10-point road win over the Bruins.

Senior guard Marquez Hatcher had 14 points and four assists and sophomore Ryan Patton also chipped in with14 points for Rochester Hills Christian (11-1, 3-0). Senior Josh Steiner added seven points and 15 rebounds for the Eagles.

Junior J.T. Bishop had 10 points in the loss for Bethany Christian.NOSs.HoopsIcon-3
