GIRLS SOCCER: Troy trips up Lapeer West; Adams battles Eisenhower to draw

TROY — Defending Division 1 state champion Troy gained its first win of the young season Saturday, outlasting Lapeer West 5-3 in a non-conference girls soccer contest. Sarah Trocolli scored two goals with an assist to lead Troy (1-2-0).  Michelle Babst added a goal and two assists and Dani Mukomel and Emily Artzberger also had single tallies for the Colts.

ROCHESTER ADAMS 0, UTICA EISENHOWER 0: These two state powers settled nothing on the soccer pitch Saturday. Morgan Mooty made three saves for Eisenhower, while Olivia Argeros made five saves for visiting Adams (0-0-2).

LAKE ORION 1, DAVISON 1: This non-league a opener was played to a draw Saturday in Lake Orion. Madz Ham scored the goal for Lake Orion with the assist coming to Nicole Crier. Lauren Ausitz picked up two saves in goal for the Dragons. Alayna Hilgendorf scored for Davison.
