GIRLS SOCCER: Clarkston, Lake Orion draw even once again

LAKE ORION It’s become a right of passage that Clarkston and Lake Orion will battle it out at least once on the soccer pitch each spring. It ha also become what seems like an automatic that the two arch-rivals will settle nothing on the field.

For the sixth straight year Tuesday, Clarkston and Lake Orion battled to a tie in an OAA crossover contest at Lake Orion, this time with the match finishing with a 1-1 final.

Madz Ham converted a breakaway feed off a pass from Nicole Krier in the 10th minute for Lake Orion (0-0-2).

Maddy Herbert scored on a free kick in the 12th minute for Clarkston (0-0-1).

Freshman goalkeeper Kristen Page made seven saves for Clarkston. Junior Lauryn Auspitz made five saves for Lake Orion.
