BOYS LACROSSE: Clarkston wallops Utica Ford

CLARKSTON — Upsets in high school state tournaments usually occur in the early rounds. Clarkston made sure that it would not be such an upset victim in the boys lacrosse regionals Friday — not even close.

The Wolves made quick work of Utica Ford, walloping the Falcons 25-3 in the Division 1 regional quarterfinals.

Andrew Williamston had four goals and an assist to lead a balanced effort for Clarkston, (17-2-0). Liam Strickle added three goals and an assist and Connor Ward had two goals with seven assists for the Wolves.

Connor Dziewit (four assists), Gaven Bertram (two assists), Reid Kaminski and Keaton Mitchell all scored two goals, while Cole Phillips (three assists), Robert Hall, Nick Werner, Nick Bowman, Austin Egler, Scott Fisher, Ian Phillips and Jim Trombley also scored for Clarkston, which converted 38 total shots into 25 goals.  lacrosse - stick & ball
