BOYS LACROSSE: Notre Dame Prep nips Pennfield
BATTLE CREEK — Pontiac Notre Dame Prep built a two-goal lead at the half Saturday and held on for an 11-9 victory over Battle Creek Pennfield in a Division 2 boys lacrosse regional quarterfinal.
Senior Jake Jeszke scored two goals with four assists to lead the Fighting Irish (12-5-0). Mark Thierbacker added two goals for NDP, while Peter Eichhorn notched nine saves.
Chris Acton scored three goals for Pennfield (10-6).
