SPORTS BRIEFS: 5K fundraiser run set for New Day Foundation
5K FUNDRAISER
A 5K charity run in honor of Rochester Stoney Creek High School freshman Sam Kell, who is battling brain cancer, is set for 10 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 9) at Stony Creek Metropark in Washington Twp.
The cost is $20 per athlete. To register, go to www.runsignup.com. All proceeds go to the New Day Foundation.
