Lake Orion doubles up Hartland

BLOOMFIELD HILLS — Lake Orion came out of the holiday break with an eight-goal outburst Thursday, skating past Hartland 8-4 in a none-league boys hockey game at the Detroit Skate Club.

Lake Orion scored four in the first, one in the second period and three more in the final frame. The Dragons led 5-4 heading into the third period.

Justin McKelvey  led the way with two goals, Daniel Chappie and Shane Stockwell  both had a goal and an assist, Brad Bogus added a goal and two assists, to pace the Dragons. Zach Koonce, and Corbin Rainey also scored for Lake Orion, while Dominick Juncaj made 27 saves for the Dragons (5-3-1).
