Everest rebounds with victory over St. Thomas More; Eagles topple Faith Christian

CLARKSTON — Clarkston Everest Collegiate bounced back from a pair of losses this week with a 55-45 non-league triumph over Burton St. Thomas More Academy.

Thomas More led 27-22 at the half, only to see Everest outscored the guests33-18 in the second half, including 16-06 in the fourth quarter.

David Smith scored 16, Richie Cross added 11 points and Blake Beauchamp scored 10 for the Mountaineers.

Mike Weisbrod and Dennis LeBlanc both scored 10 for St. Thomas More.

ROCHESTER HILLS CHRISTIAN 73, CLINTON TOWNSHIP FAITH CHRISTIAN 32: The Eagles remained in second place in the FBAC Red division Friday at the expense of one-win Faith Christian.

Rochester hills (8-5, 4-1) opened with a 17-7 run and were in control at the half, 40-19. The game was out of reach through three quarter of play, where the Eagles led 56-28.

For Rochester Hills (10-6,4-1), Nathan Simon had 17 points and three assists, Josh West had 15 points and three steals and DJ Szydlowski added 12 points, seven rebounds and six steals.

For Faith Christian (1-7, 0-6), Jacob Belloli had nine points and Aaron VanSlam added eight points.
