Clarkston runs seventh at Bay City Western Invitational

AUBURN, Mich. — Clarkston’s boys track and field team collected 27 points and finished seventh overall at Saturday’s Bay City Western Invitational.

The Wolves scored in nine of the 17 events.

Adam Bruderick, Ian Brennan, Michael McCord and Spencer Pawlik clocked 8:15.2 in the 3,200 relay to finish fifth. Bruderick and Alan Kamieniecki teamed with Travis Smith and Mike Schwartz to run fifth in the 1,600 relay (3:29.2).

The foursome of Thomas Katrivesis, Anthony Allard, Tristan Tozzi and Jared Yaroch were sixth in the 400 relay (47.1), as Clarkston placed in three of four relays.

Bruderick came back to earn third in the 800 (1:58.5), Kamieniecki was fifth in the 200 (23.8) and Sam Tanielian was fifth in the 3,200 (10:09.9).

In the field events, CJ Gozdor was second in the high jump (6-1) and Jerry Allen fourth (6-0). Matt Wright claimed fifth in the discus (135-10) and Brian Benway was fifth in the long jump (18-11) for Clarkston.
