Lake Orion linkers earns OAA-Red title share with Adams
OXFORD — In its final dual match of the season, Lake Orion earned a narrow 171-173 victory over Rochester at Boulder Pointe Wednesday to earn a share of the OAA Red Division title.
The Dragons, who won the first league tournament and finished fourth at the other, pulled into a first-place tie with Rochester Adams in the final overall standings, which combines the two league tournaments with the dual match standings. Rochester finishes third overall.
Corbin Rainey shot 40 to pace the Dragons (5-2, 4-1). Alex Waelchli followed with a 42, Tyler Dragoo carded a 44 and Mason Gorris a 45 for Lake Orion.
For Rochester (4-2, 3-2), Paul Woo, Mike Murri and Mike Santavica all shot rounds of 43 and Eric Shyu a 44.
