ROCHESTER HILLS — Rochester College softball coach Steve Ogg, who led the Warriors to their first United States Collegiate Athletics Association national championship last month, has resigned from his position.

Ogg, a veteran in the softball circles in southeastern Michigan, cited too many conflicts with his full-time occupation at Oakland Community College for leaving the school after just one season at the helm.

Rochester College, which is joining the NAIA for the 2011-12 school year and will hold dual membership with both the NAIA and USCAA, has an immediate opening for a qualified collegiate softball coach and is accepting applications. The position is part time.

Interested applicants can contact Rochester College Athletics Director Klint Pleasant at (248) 218-2058 or by e-mail at kpleasant@rc.edu
