| December 9, 2011 | Comments (0)

PLYMOUTH — Jacob LaPorte helped Clarkston redefine the term ‘nick of time’ Thursday night.

The junior forward scored the game-winning goal with 15.7 seconds left in leading the Wolves to a come-from-behind 4-3 non-conference boys hockey win over Plymouth Salem at Compuware Arena.

Eric Matynowski set up the game-winner with a pass into the middle.

Matynowski scored the first goal for Clarkston (2-4-1) and Zack Gootee and Garrett Polish also scored for the Wolves, who trailed 2-0 after the first period and 3-2 after two periods.

Clarkston scored twice in the third period. Jack Viazanko notched 25 saves in the win for the Wolves.
