Oakland travels to Illinois State for Bracketbuster Game
ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland will face Illinois State in the ESPN Bracketbuster game, announced by ESPN on Monday night. The Golden Grizzlies and Redbirds will tip at 5:05 p.m. ET inside Redbird Arena.
“Illinois State has a great basketball tradition and it’s a privilege for Oakland to play them,” said OU coach Greg Kampe, whose team is 12-12. “Redbird Arena is a great facility and they have great fans, so this will be a tremendous challenge for us.”
The Golden Grizzlies won their first-ever Division I game at Illinois State, 72-71, on Nov. 15, 1998. The Redbirds (!4-8) lead the all-time series with OU, 3-1. Here is a look at the series:
