Oakland’s Balogh Honored on CollegeSports360.com

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. –
Oakland’s Vanessza Balogh was honored by CollegeSports360.com on the Primetime Performers Weekly Honor Roll for the week of Feb. 13-19. Balogh won the Women’s Swimmer of the Championships at the 2012 Summit League Swimming and Diving Championships leading Oakland to its 13th consecutive league championship.

Balogh earned NCAA ‘B’ qualifying times in the 400-yard individual medley (4:16.34) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:53.36).  She also successfully defended her title in the 1,650-free with a time of 16:40.98 and set the school record in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:14.87) during an exhibition swim.  Balogh was a member of the league-record setting 400-free relay team that earned an NCAA ‘B’ qualifying time (3:23.89), the pool-record setting 400-medley relay team (3:42.86) and the winning 800-free relay team (7:33.03).
