BOYS BASKETBALL: Lake Orion bounces back to topple Troy Athens

TROY Finally, Lake Orion’s offense clicked on all cylinders Friday night and it was enough to propel the Dragons to an upset.

Lake Orion built a 35-18 lead at the half and held on for a 65-49 triumph over host Athens, handing the Red Hawks their first LAA White Divison loss of the season.

Mike Williams and Corvin Brij both scored 13 and John Van Hoef added 11 points for Athens (8-3, 4-1).

David Henry scored a game-high 24 points to lead Lake Orion. Nate Marcum added 12 points and Deamon Johnson finished with 11 points for the Dragons (6-5, 4-2).
