Losee earns Top Drawer Soccer All-Rookie honors

EVANSTON, Ill. – Reed Losee was an All-State Dream Team soccer player coming out of Lake Orion High School. Now, he has continued to live up to that level.

Losee and Northwestern teammate Lepe Seetane (Lesotho, Africa/Trinity (Louisville, Ky.) have been named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com All-Rookie Second Team following their outstanding freshman seasons. Losee plays forward and Seetane in the midfield.

Losee appeared in all 18 matches for the Wildcats in 2010, including making six starts. He finished third on the team with nine points (three goals, three assists). Losee posted the first goal and assist of his collegiate career both against St. Mary’s (Calif.) Sept. 5. He also notched the first goal of the match in a 2-1 win over No. 15 Ohio State Oct. 10 and against Penn State in the Big Ten tournament Nov. 11.

Seetane, who was selected to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team, started 13 matches and saw action in all 18 matches overall. He scored two goals and added one assist. Seetane tallied his first collegiate goal Sept. 12 in a win over Oregon State. He also scored a goal and had an assist in an overtime victory at Wisconsin Oct. 23.

Northwestern completed its 2010 season with an 8-8-2 overall record, including a 2-3-1 mark in Big Ten play.
