Eagles Fly: Rochester Hills Christian advances to MACS Final Four
CLARKSTON — Rochester Hills Christian advanced to the Michigan Association of Christian Schools Division I state semifinals for the first time in school history Thursday night, topping host Clarkston Springfield Christian 55-21 in a MACS sectional final.
Senior center Megan Steiner led the way with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Senior forward Caroline Milsk added 13 points and three assists, senior guard Christie Steiner chipped in with 11 rebounds, senior forward Jane Crile had six points, five rebounds and four assists and freshman Ashley Parker scored five points with six rebounds for Rochester Hills Christian.
Junior point guard Allise DuBay did not play due to a sprained ankle, but is hopeful for the next round. The top-ranked Eagles (22-1), who have already shattered the previous school record for wins in a season (the old mark was 14), will play March 4 in the state semifinals against the winner of the sectional finals between No. 2 Davison Faith Baptist and No. 3 Midland Calvary Baptist.
Sophomore Megan Kaster finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds for Springfield Christian (3-13).
