Rochester third at Spruce Run

TRAVERSE CTY — Grosse Pointe South outdistanced the 15-school field at the recent Traverse City Spruce Run Invitational.

The Blue Devils finished with a play-six, count-four team score of 355. Brighton followed in second at 358 with Rochester and Davison tying for third at 367. Holt was fifth at 374.

Brighton’s Hannah Pietila was medalist with a three-over round of 75 and Grosse Pointe South’s Liely Pendy and Holt’s Pader Her shot 78s to tie for second.

South’s Tenley Shiled claimed fourth (79) and Hannah Buzolits (97) and Katie Dalman (101) also posted solid scores to lead the Blue Devils to the title. Marshall’s Jill Peacock and Hartland’s Brook Kastamo tied for fifth (84) to round out the top five.

Rochester, the only local school in the field, was paced by Jazmin Haque, who was seventh (85). Hailey Bradley finished 11th (89), Amanda Graham 13^th (91) and Abby Sabert 35^th (102) for the Falcons.
