Clarkston bounces Athens
CLARKSTON — It took Clarkston a mere quarter to move into complete control on Troy Athens Monday and the undefeated Wolves slammed the Red Hawks 69-26 in an OAA crossover girls basketball contest.
Clarkston (7-0) led 20-4 by the need of the first quarter and 43-18 at the half. The Wolves outscored Athens 26-8 in the second half.
Three players scored in double figures for Clarkston, led by Erin Davenport’s15points. Delaney Kenny added 14 points, Anna Manilla had 12 points and Megan Hastings chipped in with eight points after missing three weeks to an injury.
Sinclair Russell finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds for Athens (0-6) but other player scored more than four points.
