THURSDAY’S BOYS BASKETBALL RESULTS: Everest holds off Jewish Academy

CLARKSTON — Behind a 14-8 third quarter, Clarkston Everest Collegiate created enough breathing room to upend West Bloomfield Jewish Academy 36-30 in a CHSL-Intersectional Division  boys basketball victory.

Blake Beauchamp scored 11 and Donnie Allen added nine points for Everest (8-2, 3-0).

Omer Oppenheim scored eight for Jewish Academy.

Both teams scored nine in the first quarter and just two points apiece in the second period for an 11-11 halftime tie. After Everest built a 25-19 lead through three quarters of play, both teams scored 11 in the final frame.
