CAMPUS CLIPS: Oakland’s Harding wins Summit League Weekly Award
ELMHURST, Ill. – Grant Harding was named The Summit League’s Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week after his performance at the 2012 Michigan Open hosted by Oakland at the OU Aquatic Center Feb. 3-5.
Harding, a native of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, garners his first career Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week award after recording two event wins over the weekend. The sophomore won the 100 Backstroke with a time of 57.32 and the 100 Free in 51.89. His 100 Free time marks the second-fastest league time this season.
The Golden Grizzlies will be in action next week when they host the Summit League Championships at the OU Aquatic Center starting on Wednesday Feb. 15. All session passes cost $35 and single session pass cost $7.
