SIGNING DAY 2012: Oxford sends 14 athletes to the collegiate ranks

OXFORD —With a record number, Oxford High School has announced that 14 student-athletes from the Class of 2012 have signed letters-of-intent to play sports at the collegiate level. Each athlete signed as part of the school’s Winter Signing Period ceremony on Monday.

Among the group are Cassie Edgemon (Macomb Community College, Softball); Katie Bearse (St. Clair CC, Volleyball); Olivia Krause (St. Clair CC, Volleyball); Lindsey Leppek (Rochester College, Volleyball); Chelsea Johnson (Wayne State University, Cross-Country /Track); Brittany Johnson (Wayne State University, Cross-Country/Track); Kyle Hartwick (Rend Lake College, Baseball); Matt Economou (Northern Michigan University, Football); Prescott Line (Southern Methodist University, Football); Collin Goetz (Central Michigan University, Football); Michael Kitchner (Ashland University, Football); Anthony Cappuccilli (Alma College, Football); Brianna Johnson (Aquinas College, Soccer); and Ryan Reason (Hope College, Football).
The Wildcats have several other athletes that are considering options in a variety of sports.
