BOYS HOCKEY ROUNDUP: Oxford skates past Avondale
TROY — Oxford broke a 1-1 tie late in the first period and tacked on single goals in the second and third periods to skate past Auburn Hills Avondale at The Troy Sports Center.
Connor Novack scored the game-winner and Dean Couwlier staked Oxford to the 1-0 lead in the first period. Nick Hocker and Nolan Chapman scored the other two goals for the Wildcats. Mike Chapman notched 28 saves between the pipes for the Wildcats.
Justin Przytiakski scored the goal for Avondale, while Nicholas Senkowski made 37 saves for the Yellowjackets.
