Adams uses depth chart to splash past Rochester
ROCHESTER HILLS — Rochester Adams proved to have a little more depth and that helped the Highlanders splash past rival Rochester 99-87 Thursday in an OAA White Division meet at Rochester.
Jeffrey Cheng won the 100 freestyle (52.08) and Adams won the 200 free relay (1:34.56) and 400 free relay (3:33.70) to account for the Highlanders’ three wins.
Rochester won nine events but struggled to pick up enough seconds and thirds to prevail.
The Falcons won the 200 medley relay (1:46.24) to start the meet. Austin Kilpatrick added wins in the 200 free (1:54.89) and 500 free (5:07.10), Brien Moffitt touched first in the 200 IM (2:04.43) and 100 backstroke (59.26), Jacob Carl won both the 50 free (22.57) 100 butterfly (55.38), Ray Renaud took home the diving (231.5 points) crown and Colin Berta the 100 breaststroke (1:08.68) for Rochester (2-7, 0-5).
