BOYS SOCCER: Rochester Hills Christian, Troy Bethany Christian reach MACS state semifinals
ROCHESTER HILLS — Despite missing four starters for various reasons, Rochester hills Christian will be making a return trip to the Michigan Association of Christian Schools boys soccer state semifinals.
The third-ranked Eagles upended visiting Clinton Township Faith Christian, 2-1,
Jesse Montgomery set up Aaron Berry for a first-half goal, while Berry assisted on Montgomery’s 34th goal of the season in the second half.
Ethan Mleczko scored for Faith Christian in the second half.
TROY BETHANY CHRISTIAN 4, MIDLAND CALVARY BAPTIST 1: Troy Bethany Christian advanced to the Final Four of the MACS Division I state tournament for the fifth straight season with this shutout of the Kings Friday.
Scott N-Cho had a goal and two assists for the Bruins. Noah Francis added a goal and assists, while Ryan Woodham and Josh Grono also scored for Bethany Christian (13-2-0).
