GIRLS VOLLEYBALL REGIONALS: Oakland Christian rallies past Liggett
MEMPHIS — Becky VanSloten made sure that a 1-0 deficit would stand up.
VanSloten finished Tuesday’s Class C regional semifinal with a match-high 34 kills, helping the Lancers rally for a 3-1 victory over Grosse Pointe Woods University-Liggett at Memphis High School.
After dropping Game 1 by a 25-21 count, Oakland Christian posted victories of 25-17, 26-24 and 25-20.
Marcella Compeau added 33 digs and Erin Washington contributed 49 assists for Oakland Christian (33-17-2), which plays Brown City Thursday for the regional title.
