SATURDAY’S PREP ROUNDUP: WOLL soars past Cranbrook Kingswood
BLOOMFIELD HILLS — Lexie Robak had the Midas touch Saturday afternoon.
The senior from Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes drilled seven 3-pointers and scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Class D state-ranked Lakers to a 47-41 victory over Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood in CHSL East Division play.
Ava Doetsch chipped in with 14 points for Lakes (8-2), 4-0), which had only four players reach the scoring column.
WOL took a 14-10 lead after the first quarter and extended the lead to 29-22 by the half thanks to a 15-12 second quarter.
Lakes used a 10-6 spurt in the third frame for a 39-28 advantage, before Cranbrook closed with a 13-8 run to make it a six-point game.
LaShay Edwards scored 15 for Cranbrook (8-4, 2-2). KatiePayne added 10 points.
