FRIDAY’S GIRLS LACROSSE: Clarkston gives Rochester rude awakening behind Sharkey’s 11 goals

CLARKSTON — Clarkston gave Rochester a rude awakening Friday in an OAA crossover girls lacrosse match, with Lauren Sharkey setting a single-game scoring record for the Wolves.

Clarkston posted a 23-9 rout of the visiting Falcons, who won the OAA White Division the past two years. Clarkston finished third in the OAA Red Division last season.

Lauren Sharkey had 11 goals and two assists in pacing Clarkston (5-0-0). Lyndsey Pike added three goals and two assists, Ryleigh McGregor chipped in three goals and Sierra Pass made eight saves in net for Clarkston.

Jessica Leininger scored five goals for Rochester.
