GIRLS SOCCER: Notre Dame Prep, WOLL Win districts

MARINE CITY — Pontiac Notre Dame Pre captured its fifth straight district crown Saturday with a 6-0 shutout of host Marine City at East China Stadium.

Taylor Timko had three goals and three assists to lead the Division 3 top-ranked Fighting Irish. Lindsey Klei added two goals and one assist and Megan Kraus recorded a shutout in net for Notre Dame Prep (16-2-2), which advances to play in Tuesday’s regional semifinals against No. 4-ranked Flint Powers Catholic at Farmington Harrison.

DIVISION 4

WATERFORD OUR LADY OF THE LAKES 5, AUBURN HILLS OAKLAND CHRISTIAN 2: The Lakers captured their seventh straight district title with this decision over host Oakland Christian. WOLL will face Grosse Pointe Woods University-Liggett at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the regional semifinals at Madison Heights Bishop Foley Catholic.
