Clarkston Everest Collegiate

HEAD COACH: Mike Pruchnicki, second season (7-3).

ASSISTANT COACHES: Stan Drewno, Mark Serra, Joe Pruchnicki, Ralph Zagari

2013 RECORD: 7-3, independent

2013 POSTSEASON: Lost in D-8 pre-district to Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes (34-7).

POSTSEASON APPEARANCES: 1, 2013.

KEY RETURNEES: Sal Mastermatteo, sr. QB-DB (5-11, 180) Lucas Neme, sr. TE-TB (5-10, 165); Elliot Fenske, sr. RB (5-11, 190); Ben Bellestri, sr. LB-RB (5-9, 185); Xavier Engle, jr. C (5-11, 180); Adam Legg, sr. DB (5-9, 165); John Maclean, sr. DE (5-10, 195); Isaiah Hellner, jr. DL-OL (5-8, 170); Andrew Hayosh, jr,. DE (6-3, 195).

KEY LOSSES: Blake Beauchamp, TE-LB (6-2, 190) Stephen Scott, K-FB (6-0, 180) Jeremy Schubach, OT-DT (6-2, 220).

OUTLOOK: The Mountaineers surprised many last season by qualifying for the D-8 postseason in its first year of varsity football. This year Everest will play an independent schedule once again but won’t be sneaking up anybody. There’s a lot of returning talent and do not be surprised to see this squad in the postseason field once again.

 

 

Marine City Cardinal Mooney Catholic

2013 RECORD: 2-7, 1-5 North Central Thumb 8-Man Football Conference.

2013 POSTSEASON: Did not qualify.

POSTSEASON APPEARANCES: 2012 (8-Man), 2011 (8-Man), 2008, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1995, 1994.

OUTLOOK: After competing in 8-man football the past three years, Cardinal Mooney returns to the 11-man realm. The school will play an independent schedule for the 2014 season.

 

Ray Township Austin Catholic

OUTLOOK: This is a third-year school and a first-year program.
