TUESDAY’S LACROSSE ROUNDUP: Dragons burns Stoney Creek; Clarkston doubles up Eaglets
LAKE ORION — Nick Booker had two goals and two assists Tuesday to pace Lake Orion to an 8-5 win over Rochester Stoney Creek in an OAA White Division boys lacrosse win.
Brad Bogus had two goals and Zach Miller chipped in a goal and three assists for Lake Orion (2-1-0).
CLARKSTON 10, ORCHARD LAKE ST. MARY’S 5: Clarkston built a 4-1 advantage after the first quarter ne never relinquished the lead en route to this non-league win Tuesday in Orchard Lake.
The Wolves expanded the lead to 5-2 at the half and 7-4 through three quarters of play before holding a 3-1 edge in the fourth frame.
Kevin O’Grady finished with three goals and both Jordan Kincaid and Mike Vanderweel scored twice apiece for Clarkston (1-0-0). Travis Kraft, Reid Kaminski and Brad Luenhagen added single tallies for the Wolves, who held a 17-10 shots advantage. Adam Gohl made 10 saves and Evan Kneisel, AJ Schlaff, Ethan Frick and Nick Demattia had a combined total of 11 turnovers to lead a fine defensive effort.
