FOOTBALL: Clarkston steamrolls Davison, 41-0
CLARKSTON — In eight of its 10 games, Clarkston has prevailed in blowout fashion. Davison became the latest such victim in the form of a brutal beating Friday night.
Clarkston raced out to a 14-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back in throttling visiting Davison, 41-0, in a Division 1 football pore-district.
Ian Eriksen finished with 97 rushing yards on 18 carries and scored on touchdowns on runs of 2, 6 and 16 yards.
Sophomore quarterback DJ Zezula finished 4-of-7 passing for 149 yards and a touchdown, a 53-yard scoring toss to Alex Dicea. Zezula also had runs of 5 and 1 yard for the unbeaten Wolves (10-0), who maintained their No. 1 ranking in the AP Division 1 poll.
Shane Hynes was 5-for-6 on extra points.
Trevor Thomas led Davison (6-4) with 18 carries and 103 yards.
