BASEBALL: Davison Faith blanks Troy Bethany in MACS semifinals
DAVISON —Davison Faith Baptist returned to the diamond Saturday and whisked away Troy Bethany Christian in the Michigan Association of Christian Schools state semifinals, 4-0.
Junior Parker Barnett went the distance and carried a no-hitter until there were two outs in the seventh. He finished the day with single-game school record 19 strikeouts, one hit and no walks.
Eric Edwards led Davison Faith (20-1) at the plate going 2-for-3 with an RBI double. Hunter Smith went 2-for-3 on the day with two RBI, while Seth Hobson had an RBI double in the third for the final run.
