Balavich’s game-winner lifts Lake Orion past Rochester
BLOOMFIELD HILLS — Lake Orion scored a first-period goal and the Dragons’ defense made it stand in a 1-0 OAA Red Division victory over Rochester United at the Detroit Skate Club.
Nick Balavich converted the game’s only goal, tucking the puck into the net after passes from Jesse Cameron, Zach Koontz.
Lake Orion’s Shawn Horton made 17 saves for the shutout for Lake Orion (8-4-1), while Rochester counterpart Ian Mercer kept the game close with 38 saves for United.
