ELMHURST, Ill.  – After breaking school records on back-to-back days, Autumn Cleverley has been named The Summit League Indoor Track and Field Female Athlete of the Week announced the league office Tuesday afternoon.

“It’s really neat that Autumn was honored for her accomplishments,” said head coach Paul Rice.  “Breaking one school record is tough enough.  But to break records on back-to-back days and at different meets is pretty special.  Autumn is just in the zone right now and I expect bigger and better things from her.”

At the Mike Lints Open on Jan. 21, Cleverley ran 1:36.78 to place third in the 600.  That broke the school record of 1:40.29 set by Breanna Peabody in 2009.  On Jan. 22, at the Simmons-Harvey Invitational, she placed third in the 800 with a time of 2:17.00.  That broke the record of 2:18.28 she had set last year.

Cleverley is the first track athlete in school history to break school records on back-to-back days, either at the same meet or two different meets.
