Rochester United skates to clean sweep of Stoney Creek
ROCHESTER — Twice this season Rochester United and Rochester Stoney Creek faced off on the ice and both times the rivalry resulted in a one-goal affair.
Rochester United made it a clean sweep of Stoney Creek Friday night at The Onyx, skating to a 1-0 victory over the Cougars.
Michael Potoniec scored in the second period for Rochester United with Connor Salisberry drawing the assist. Goaltender Ian Mercer made it stand with 20 saves for United.
