Athens, Troy skate to 2-2 draw
TROY — The rebuilding seasons for the hockey programs at Troy and Troy Athens have been apparent for months. So the two would have loved nothing more than to gain an upper edge on the arch enemy.
It didn’t happen.
Instead, the Colts and Red Hawks had to kiss the sister, so to speak, at the Troy Sports Center. The two skated to a 2-2 OAA crossover tie, settling nothing out on the ice.
Nick Kondoleon scored both goals for the Colts, while the Athens goals were scored by Doug Marvin and Nathan Gurzell.
Netminders for the game were Chris Resseguie for Troy, while Justin Yochem played to the stalemate for the Red Hawks.
