BASEBALL: Lake Orion edges Troy; Northwest stymies Greenhills

LAKE ORION — Lake Orion won for he fourth time in four days Tuesday, topping Troy 2-0  in an OAA Red Division baseball game to remain in a first-place tie with Troy Athens and Clarkston.

Bret Wyss went 2-for-3 and scored both runs for Lake Orion (14-4, 5-2). Cole Schaenzer struck out nine in seven innings of work to gain the shutout for the Dragons.

ROCHESTER HILLS LUTHERAN NORTHWEST 14, ANN ARBOR GREENHILLS 4: Northwest rebounded with its second win in three outings to hand host Greenhills this mercy-shortened loss Tuesday. Eric Mischley went a perfect 5-for-5, scored four runs, had three RBI and four stolen bases for the Crusaders (5-6, 4-4). Luke McCatty pitched 6.3 innings, striking out seven for the win.
