GROSSE POINTE SHORES — Grosse Pointe North proved too much to overcome, as the Northsmen toppled Lake Orion 10-3 in a non-conference girls lacrosse match.
Tiffany Smrtnik recorded eight saves in the loss, while seniors Jordan Hill, Sydney Bryce, Ashley Dakki and Rachel Cohen kept the pressure on. Paige Hammerl scored twice and Carly Brooks added one goal for the Dragons (8-6-1). Beth Giguere had one assist.
