WEDNESDAY’S PREP ROUNDUP: Dragons trip up University-Liggett

LAKE ORION — Lake Orion returned to its winning ways Wednesday, topping Grosse Pointe Woods University-Liggett 12-8 in a non-league girls lacrosse match.

Ronnie Booth, Carly Brooks, Jessica Smude and Nicole Blovet all scored two goals for  Lake Orion (2-1-0). Kaileen Tweedie, Mallory DeMott, Emily Hendrix and Paige Hammerl all added single tallies for the Dragons.

Blovet, Booth and Tweedie picked up two assists apiece, Ashley Dakki, Rachel Cohen and Jordan Hill starred on defense and Beth Giguere and Tiffany Smrtnik shared the win in goal for the Dragons.

BOYS LACROSSE

CLARKSTON 14, WALLED LAKE NORTHERN 2: Clarkston is ranked second in the state in Division 1.The Knights found out just why on Wednesday evening. The Wolves scored early and often in recording this non-league victory over Northern.
