Kreza, Kemp, Youngerman lead record 24 area boys lacrosse All-State players

The increase of teams and overall talent in boys lacrosse has escalated by great levels in recent years and with that so has the number of All-State players from the www.northoaklandsports.com coverage area.
This season there was a record 24 total All-State honorees from the NOS area, 20 in Division 1 and four in Division 2.
In Division 1, Troy Athens’ Dan Kreza made the All-State First Team attack, with Clarkston’s Jordan Kincaid making the third-team and Rochester United’s Kurt Urbin, Clarkston’s Kevin O’Grady, Lake Orion’s Brad Bogus and Troy’s Nick Kondolean earning honorable mention status as attack.
In the midfield, Athens’ Joe Kemp earned first team status, followed by Clarkston’s Kevin Horton on the second team, Rochester United’s Jacob Pincura on the third team and Troy’s Niko Vukov and Lake Orion’s Jake Berkal making the honorable mention list.
On defense, Athens had another All-State First Team choice as Nick Youngerman made the squad. Clarkston’s Matt Burnett and Athens’ Matt Fitzpatrick earned second-team honors.
The special teams list in D-1 saw Athens’ Kevin Lining make the first team, Clarkston’s Nick Demattia the second team and Lake Orion’s Robert Aiello the honorable mention chart.
Three local goalies also made All-State in D-1, with Athens’ Neil Mistry earning second team, Rochester United’s Nathan Duff third team and Clarkston’s Matt Goebel honorable mention honors.
Over in Division 2, Rochester Adams’ Lee Teasley was named to the third-team for attack. Teammate Mike Demarco was named second team midfield, Brad Nylen honorable mention for defense and Tyler May honorable mention for special teams.
