PONTIAC — Chalk up a shutout for the Rochester College men’s soccer team.

The Warriors blanked visiting Bluffton University 2-0 Sunday at the Ultimate Soccer Areans.

RC Scored its first goal at the 22-minute mark when Robert Ekrem (Norway) set up Chad Helberg (Hazel Park)  for a breakaway goal, part of a 14-6 shots edge in the first 45 minutes of play and only one of those shots against as on frame.

The Warriors capped the scoring in the 60th minute, when freshman Austin Verville (Rochester Adams) set up classmate John Yarsinsky (Life Summit Home School) in the middle of the box and Yarsinsky headed home the second goal

Freshman David Fleming (St. Clair Shores Lakeview) turned aside five shots for the clean sheet for the Warriors (8-9-1), who have five shutouts on the year.

The Beavers slipped to 2-10-0.
