BOYS LACROSSE REGIONALS: Troy doubles L’Anse Creuse
TROY — Harrison Township L’Anse Creuse had the first laugh Tuesday night. Troy had the answer to that and the last laugh.
The Colts overcame a 1-0 deficit in the opening two minutes with a resounding 14-7 victory over L’Anse Creuse in a Division 1 boys lacrosse pre-regional.
Troy led 3-2 after the first quarter and 8-5 at the half. The Colts opened the gap even further with a 4-1edge in the third frame and 2-1 edge in the fourth quarter to advance to the regional semifinals.
Jay Darish scored three goals and Nick Kondoleon added four goals and one assist to lead Troy. Colin McLean added a goal and four assists, Justice Bigelow added four goals and Oliver Jiang added two goals and one assist for the Colts.
Jesse Evans had five goals for L’Anse Creuse. Michael Jablonski added a goal and an assist and Chris Batkins scored once for the Lancers.
