MONDAY’S GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Notre Damp Prep sweeps Lutheran North
PONTIAC — Pontiac Notre Dame Prep upped their league leading record to 5-1 with a 3 set win over Macomb Lutheran North on senior and parent appreciation night Tuesday.
The Irish (29-5-1) trailed only once (2-1 in the first set) in defeating the Mustangs 25-10 25-17 and 25-9.
Leading the way for the Irish was Dani McCormick, who finished 22-for-24 attacking with 12 kills and finished 12for-13 serving including fouraces and 10 service points. Katherine Carlson was 22-for-24 attacking with 10 kills and she added a pair of blocks.
Also contruting for NDP were Hannah Strat and senior Haley Delvecchio, who were stellar on defense. Ashley Knutson had 14 assists and seven service points while Hannah Antosz kicked in nieassists and 10 serving points for the Irish.
FLINT CHASE HOME SCHOOL 25-25-25, ROCHESTER HILLS CHRISTIAN 23-6-11: the Eagles slipped to 3-5-0 on the season with this non-league loss to the Falcons. Jenna Porter had 10 digs and two kills and Kinda Armitage added 13 assists for Rochester Hills Christian.
