BOYS LACROSSE: Notre Dame Prep claims CHSL D-2 title

PONTIAC — After a year away from the top of the charts, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep’s boys lacrosse team has returned to the summit of the CHSL Division 2 standings.

The Fighting Irish clinched the league title with a 14-7 victory Monday over visiting Madison Heights Bishop Foley.

Notre Dame Prep (13-2-0) started the scoring at 10:39 in the first quarter when Jake Jeske netted a goal off a Gaven Betram pass to set the tone. Jeske finished the day with three goals and an assist to pace the Irish.

Kyle Beauregard led all scorers with four goals and two assists. Bertram had two goals and four assists, while Frank Sardelli and Alec Naseef scored two goals each and Nick Litton added one tally for the Fighting Irish.

Gabe O’Neil scored three goals with three assists for Bishop Foley. Stephen Redding added three goals and Steve Carey had one goal for the Ventures.lacrosse - faceoff 2
