COLLEGE MEN’S BASKETBALL: Nevada rallies past Oakland in Great Alaska Shootout

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Sherron Dorsey-Walker reached career-highs with 23 points and nine assists, while Isaiah Brock recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds to lead Oakland (4-1) in an 82-78 defeat to Nevada (4-1) on Wednesday at the Great Alaska Shootout in Alaska Airlines Center.

 

The Golden Grizzlies led by 16 points at the half, but were outscored 54-34 in the final 20 minutes.

Martez Walker finished with 17 points, while Jalen Hayes added 13 points and nine rebounds. The Wolf Pack’s Marcus Marshall scored a game-high 25 points and Cameron Oliver finished with 22 points and eight rebounds. Jordan Caroline added a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards.

The Golden Grizzlies led for the entire game until the 7:07 mark of the second half as Oliver buried a deep 3-pointer. After four ties, the Wolf Pack outscored Oakland 13-8 over the final five minutes of play.

Oakland will take on Alaska Anchorage (Division II) on Friday at 4 p.m. The game can be heard on WDFN-AM (1130) or the iHeart radio app.
