MONDAY’S LACROSSE: Rochester cruises past University-Liggett; Oxford trumps West Bloomfield
ROCHESTER HILLS — Kyle Gray had a season-high five goals Monday and Rochester rolled past Grosse Pointe Woods University-Liggett in fine fashion with a 21-4 non-conference girls lacrosse win over the Knights.
Katie Krako added four goals and two assists for the Falcons (6-1-0). Jessica Leininger added three goals and one assist, Tara Kenny and Kayla Nowicki added two goals each, while Jordin Pardoski, Samantha Blair, Natalie Prisciandaro, Leah Mazzara and Karoline Newer had single tallies for Rochester.
Goalie Aly Rosenau had 12 saves for the Falcons.
OXFORD 14, WEST BLOOMFIELD 8: Oxford won for the third time this season over fellow newcomer West Bloomfield with this six-goal win Monday.
Emma Kimmel led the Wildcats’ attack with a four-goal outburst. Jordan Piczinski followed with three goals and Abby Wrobel tacked on two goals in the win, while Kayce Calcaterra, Jillian Walker, Sam Myers, Riley Hayes and Lauren Ubbing all provided single tallies for the Wildcats.
